Dr. Maehara received his Doctorate in Dental
Surgery from the University of Southern
California School of Dentistry and also
received his Bachelor of Science degree
in Biological Sciences from USC - fight on!
He has over 30 years of experience and
has owned and operated his private practice
Dr. Maehara is a member of the American Dental Association, the California Dental Association, the Los Angeles Dental Society and the Japanese American Dental Society. In addition, Dr. Maehara is an active member of the community. He is a past president of the Japanese American Optimist Club of Los Angeles.
Mardy Maehara, RDH
Born and raised in Southern California, she attended the University of Southern California and graduated cum laude with a Bachelor of Science in Dental Hygiene in 1977. She has been in private practice ever since. She is married and has three adult children. Her hobbies include cooking and baking, yoga, and walking with her neighbors and spending time with family. She is involved with the Japanese American community and the H.E.L.P. organization (Healthcare and Elder Law Program) in Torrance, CA.
Alice Fukui, D.D.S.
Alice first started her dental career as a dental assistant and then graduated from the
University of Southern California with a BS in Dental Hygiene. Passion for
dentistry led her to pursue her Doctorate in Dental Surgery at Herman Ostrow
School of Dentistry USC as she worked as RDH on weekends. During her time
there, she has been on the Dean's List and was awarded the Senior Award
sponsored b Academy of General Dentistry as having exhibited the greatest interest,
knowledge, and proficiency in the field of general dentistry. She is passionate
about community service and has been on several dental volunteer trips to Mexico with Dental Care for Children. Alice is a member of the American Dental
Association, Academy of General Dentistry and is fluent in Japanese.
Dennis Sourvanos, RDH
Dennis received his Bachelor of Science in Dental Hygiene from the USC Herman Ostrow School
of Dentistry. This clinical training gave him the opportunity to work with a very
diverse patient population, participate in multiple off campus rotations, and
volunteer with several community outreach programs. He works as a Registered
Dental Hygienist on weekends while pursuing his Doctorate of Dental Surgery at
the Ostrow School of Dentistry. He enjoys teaching on the clinic floor with the
Sophomore Periodontal Module Course at the Dental School. Being a fellow
track member of the Academy of General Dentistry, and volunteering with the
Craniofacial Cleft Palate Program at the Orthopaedic Institute for Children.
Dennis has a conservative approach, a thorough attention to detail, and works
towards achieving the best possible outcome for his patients. He is personable,
and takes a personalized approach to each patient and his/her needs and
Dawnelle Park, D.D.S.
Dawnelle was raised in Northern Virginia and graduated from George Mason University with degrees
Sociology and Civil Engineering. After working several years as an engineer, she decided to pursue a career in dentistry and attended dental school at UCLA. Following graduation, she continued her training at the West Los Angeles veterans Affairs Hospital as a General Practice Resident. Since then, she has been in private practice in Northern California and the Los Angeles area.
She is a member of the American Dental Association, and Western Los Angeles Dental Society.
Growing up, she was a competitive figure skater and she enjoys running, cycling, and spending time with her husband and three children.
